Reeva
REEVA was a farm dog and part of a Rough Collie breeding pack. Her owners are getting out of breeding due to an ever expanding family with grandkids and great grandkids and haven't had a litter for a year and a half, but are having trouble finding homes for their remaining dogs. REEVA had been spayed after her second litter and the couple was willing to let her go for free.
She was a mess and had stool, wire and burrs stuck in urine soaked felted back leg and belly mats. Thankfully she likes to be groomed and the wife helped get most of the mats cut out and lots of brushing done before we left for home. She got a bath when we got home and she has been settling into indoor life remarkablely well.
She is a calm soul, dog, cat, chicken and goat friendly. She also lived with cows in a nearby paddock and paid them no mind. She hasn't had a single accident in our home and has adapted to a kennel with a big bolstered bed like she has gone on vacation and is staying at The Ritz.
She does well on leash, stayed in a paddock with a 3' fence and doesn't try to climb our fence or dig in the yard. She rides in the car so well you might forget she is there!
She will need an owner committed to caring for her rough coat. She is a beautiful dog and once her coat has recovered from having all the mats cut out she will be breathtakingly gorgeous!
