Mickey

Mickey is a sweet and clever little guy with a big personality and an even bigger heart! This charming pup was found hanging around a McDonald's, politely requesting chicken nuggets—and he's been winning hearts ever since.

Mickey loves people and thrives on affection. During his time at the Chanute Animal Shelter, he bonded with the volunteers, soaking up all the snuggles and even allowing himself to be carried around. While he wasn’t thrilled about the start of bath time, he quickly settled in, enjoying the scrubbing and those oh-so-relaxing scratches.

This social butterfly adores other dogs, regardless of their size. He gets along beautifully with his canine friends and would likely thrive in a home with other pups to play with. Mickey is still working on his manners inside, but with belly bands and a trusty water bottle, he's learning quickly and keeping everything clean.

We think Mickey is incredibly smart and will take to training with ease. He’s eager to please and ready to learn—all he needs is a loving family to show him the ropes.
