Meet Mac: The Gentle Giant Ready for a Loving Home! 

Remember Mac, the brave German Shepherd who survived a terrible accident? After spending weeks recovering at the vet, he’s now thriving in a loving foster home where he’s continued to heal. His wounds are healing beautifully, and he’s ready to find his forever family! 

This big, gentle boy is looking for a home where he can protect, love, and chill out with his humans. He’s incredibly sweet with kids; if things get a little loud, he might get a bit nervous, but overall he’s great with them! Mac is a quick learner and follows the cues of my resident dogs—whatever they do, he’s right there with them.

While he’s not overly playful, he tolerates my pittie’s silly antics and can’t help but wag his tail in excitement—it’s like a bushy windmill! When things calm down, Mac loves to lay around and relax with my female GSD.

Currently, Mac is comfortably settled in his “lion’s den” next to my other dogs and hasn’t tried to escape. We’re hopeful to try a wire kennel soon! He doesn’t like being alone, so he’d thrive best with another dog nearby or a human who’s home with him.

Mac is a calm, sweet older guy with a bit of separation anxiety, but his gentle soul shines through. He needs a family familiar with GSD tendencies who can be patient and loving as he opens up.
