Lucy
Meet Lucy!
Lucy is a sweet and soulful 8-year-old mixed-breed girl who brings together the best traits of several beloved breeds. Her DNA reveals a unique blend: 35.5% Pit Bull, 24.3% German Shepherd, 15.4% Golden Retriever, 8.5% Basset Hound, and 16.3% Supermutt — making her one special pup!
Weighing in at around 50 pounds, Lucy is fully potty trained and has never had an accident in the house. She's also kennel trained and actually seems to enjoy the comfort and security of her crate when left alone.
Lucy hasn't been around children, so we’re unsure how she’d do with them. She's also not been directly introduced to other dogs. On walks, she can be vocal and strong on the leash when she sees other dogs, so she’s best suited for a home where she can be your one-and-only for now. We will be testing her after she has had some time to decompress in boarding. When she sees cats outside, she barks at them, so a cat-free home is recommended.
In terms of energy, Lucy enjoys bursts of playtime in the backyard — especially with squeaky toys, which are her favorite — but she's otherwise a mellow girl who loves to relax and cuddle. She’s affectionate and enjoys giving kisses, and although she’s not a fan of brushing, she’s happy with a gentle scratch. Her short coat makes grooming simple and easy.
Lucy has never attempted to scale the 6-foot fence in her current yard, but we’re not sure how she’d do with a shorter one, so a secure fence is ideal.
If you’re looking for a loyal, cuddly, toy-loving companion, Lucy could be the perfect match. She’s got a lot of love to give and would thrive in a calm, dog-savvy home where she can be your special girl.
