Kellogg
Kellogg is a big, handsome guy weighing in at around 85 pounds, and he fully embraces life as a “big dog.” He loves to play rough-and-tumble style and would be happiest in a home that appreciates his size, strength, and playful energy.
He is incredibly loyal to his people, very smart, and thrives on human affection—this boy truly just loves to be loved on. Kellogg bonds deeply with his humans and takes his role as part of the family seriously.
Kellogg has been working on leash manners and is making steady progress. When out on walks, he may show moderate reactions to other dogs, so continued training will help him be his best self. In the home, he has done well living with other medium-to-large dogs, but due to his size and play style, a very small dog may not be the best match.
He is alert and observant, quickly noticing people at the door or activity in the yard—often before other dogs do. He has a great bark and would make an excellent watchdog. He also notices cats when he sees them, so a cat-free home is likely the best fit.
Kellogg is perfectly house trained and does great with a kennel. He eats in his kennel without issue and finds comfort there, especially when his people are away. Because he can get a bit anxious when left alone, having a kennel setup is recommended.
He’s used to being part of the household routine and enjoys lounging on the couch or a big comfy chair. He’s respectful with boundaries and responds well when asked to get down or redirect his behavior.
All in all, Kellogg is a loving, loyal, smart companion who will thrive in a home ready for a big-hearted, big-bodied dog. If you’re looking for a devoted best friend who takes his job of loving and protecting his people seriously, Kellogg may be your perfect match.
