Meet Joplin: Your Playful Pooch with a Heart of Gold! 

Joplin is a fun-loving guy who thrives on companionship—both with people and his fellow furry friends! He loves to play rough, so a doggy playmate who can keep up is a must. He’s attended doggy daycare and takes corrections well, so he’s learning how to play nicely. Just a heads-up: when it comes to kids, he can get a little too excited and may not be the best fit for households with small children, especially since he might sneak a snack if food is left unattended! 

Potty trained and kennel trained, Joplin is a people pleaser who listens when you say “no.” He knows commands like “sit,” “down,” “kennel,” “shake,” and “spin,” so he’s ready to impress!

Joplin has made great strides with his indoor manners. He hasn’t had an accident in months and has mostly outgrown his shoe-chewing phase. To keep him entertained, I get him large beef cheek rolls since smaller treats just don’t last long! This active boy has a knack for chasing squirrels and birds, and he loves to dig—so keep an eye on him in the yard! He’s got a 6-foot privacy fence, and while he used to try digging under it, he hasn’t in a while.

Walking Joplin can be a bit of an adventure! He gets distracted by anything that moves and loves to weave in front of you. For a more pleasant stroll, quieter paths away from traffic are ideal. He’s friendly but can be startled by unexpected things, so he might bark and raise his hackles. When excitement kicks in, his manners can fly out the window, leading to some enthusiastic jumping!

But when the day winds down, Joplin transforms into a cuddle bug! He has no boundaries and loves to snuggle right up to you, making him the perfect lap dog. He thrives in a home with other active dogs and plenty of people to play with—he’s a big sweetheart at heart!
