Jimmy Carter (boy)
Jimmy Carter had a rough start in life. By the time we got the call to help, he was so sick and tiny that we weren’t sure he would make it. At just 1.5 pounds—half the size of his siblings—he was cold, weak, and in need of serious care.
We may have spoiled him a bit in those early days, and now he knows no life without frequent cuddles and his beloved space heater. Even with a cozy bed full of siblings to snuggle, he often prefers to sit by the warmth, quietly observing while the rest of the litter runs wild. He’s always the first to settle down and enjoys a peaceful environment.
Despite his small stature, Jimmy holds his own in playtime. Though still five pounds lighter than his sister, he can wrestle and keep up for a while before happily retreating to a calmer space. His gentle nature makes him a wonderful companion, and he thrives in quiet “adult” time. Because of this, a home without too much chaos—perhaps without young children—would likely be the best fit for him.
Jimmy (or "Jim Jim" as we call him) is especially fond of our older Labrador, with whom he shares toys and gentle play. He would do best with a lower-energy dog companion and a home where he can continue to be nurtured with love and patience. If you’re looking for a sweet, quiet, and affectionate little pup, Jimmy is ready to find his perfect match.
