Howie

Howie is a laid-back, lovable pup who’s full of personality. He came into care with a bum hip and even needed surgery, but he’s made incredible progress and now puts full weight on his leg. From the moment he woke up from surgery, he acted like nothing had happened—such a chill dude!

He’s a true velcro dog who loves being near his people, though he may be a little picky about the world—car rides aren’t his favorite, and toys, bones, and even human treats haven’t caught his interest. What he does enjoy is companionship. He’s never met a stranger and just wants to be loved on.

Howie walks nicely on a leash and is overall a happy, sassy guy who’s a joy to be around. Fair warning: he does shed quite a bit, but his loving personality more than makes up for it. He’s ready to find a forever home where he can be pampered and adored.
