Clove

Hi! My name is Clove and I’m a 1 year old German shepherd Rottweiler mix. I love playing and cuddling with my people so much! All I want is to please and play.  I’m such a big, young dog that it’s taken me a while to learn respect for the resident dog, but we figured each other out and now we get along well. I have a girl boss personality so I would do great as the only dog or with a transition period for new dog siblings.

I looove swimming, running, and rolling in the grass! Playing fetch or tug and learning new commands are fun for me as well! I have nothing but confidence in every area except when it comes to cars. I love to load up in my foster mom’s car, but seeing other cars drive past gives me anxiety and so I bark and try to chase them. The trainers I have worked with say that it is fear based and that I chase them because I think I’m scaring them away. This is based out of a lack of impulse control which is soooo common in working breeds like me. My foster mama has been working on impulse control on a smaller scale with toys, balls, and her own movement and will continue to work up to cars. I’m a quick learner and a very smart girl! I just need someone who can be firm and patient with me as I continue to understand the world.

I would make such a wonderful, furry best friend! I’m looking for my forever home and hope to meet my person soon.
