Capezio
MEDICAL HOLD - undergoing heartworm treatment
When Capezio came into Beauties care she had been found frozen under a porch, so cold that when she got to the vet, they couldn’t register a temperature on her. They were pretty sure that she would not make it. But she pulled through! She was malnourished and had some bad fur loss and skin issues. She then spent thirty days at El Paso, locked in a kennel. Nobody had any room, everyone was so full. Missy and I were able to carve out a space for her, so we took her in. She was super scared, trusted no one, pretty sure she had never been inside a home. But we promised her she would be safe, warm and loved. Slowly but surely she is coming out of it. Her fur and skin are much better, and our pack is helping her learn how to be a puppy! She still has some trust issues, usually around coming in to the house. Something about going through the door still freaks her out. It’s enough to send her hiding under our porch. She is blossoming into a beautiful kiddo!
Due to being timid, Capezio will require another dog in the home for confidence.
