Meet Boone!

Boone, affectionately known as Booney Boy or Boone Dog, is a one-of-a-kind pup who’s looking for an experienced and patient adopter to help him thrive. Boone is incredibly smart—sometimes too smart for his own good—and needs plenty of mental stimulation to keep boredom and anxiety at bay. He’s a quick learner, knows his tricks, and would love to show off for his person. As a true hound, Boone adores anything that engages his nose, from following scents on walks to working for his food.

While Boone has a loving and playful side, his tough past has left him with some trust issues. He needs time and understanding to feel safe with new people, but once he bonds with you, he’ll be your most loyal companion. Boone enjoys pets, staying close to his trusted humans, and is working hard to overcome his anxiety with the help of his dedicated walkers and staff.

Boone would do best in a home where he can be the center of attention or with carefully chosen dog friends, as he can be a bit selective. Boarding life isn’t ideal for him, and he’s ready to find a home where he can decompress, feel secure, and truly shine. Boone will require an experienced and patient foster or adopter.
