Lyla
Lyla is a 10 year old pittie, but we like to call her baby seal. She lived her whole life (up until February 2023) in a backyard in Oklahoma. She lived with her life-partner, Meeko, who very sadly passed from extensive cancer just a few months after we rescued them.
Lyla is a very sweet and passive little old lady. Her front legs bow a bit from the way she was bred (she is “papered” and I have her documents) to look, but is very healthy considering her age and her past life! She is a sweet and loving gal who just wants cuddles and love. She is kennel trained, potty trained, and walks decently on a leash. She is sometimes kenneled during the day, but we often leave her out in the home during the day and she does great! No issues or destruction, etc.
Lyla does well with cats as long as they are passive and not aggressive or relentlessly “in her face”. We are currently unsure on how she does with other dogs, but I believe she would do well with passive/laid back dogs, and believe she specifically would be very likely to do well with a lower energy male dog. She loves ALL people, and does great with our 1.5 year old son. She doesn’t bark without reason, does not jump up to greet visitors, and is very well mannered overall.
We love Lyla so much, and we know that she deserves an amazing and loving home to care for her for the rest of her life (which I think she has a lot left of)! The right home will be worth the wait. Please consider welcoming this sweet girl into your family.
