Adopted in December 2023, Lazarus came into his home with hope of having a feline companion and a forever family. Instead, he spent the last two years being chased and bullied by another cat. Day after day, he tried to stay small, stay gentle, and stay out of the way—never fighting back, never losing his sweet nature. Despite everything, Lazarus is still incredibly loving. He is affectionate, friendly, and deeply bonded to his person. He loves to be near you, quietly keeping you company, soaking in attention, and feeling safe when he knows he’s loved. He isn’t demanding—he just wants to belong. Lazarus gets along well with other calm, non-dominant cats, but would also be perfectly happy being your one and only, where he can finally relax without fear. He isn’t a fan of being held for long periods, but he shows his love in gentle ways—by staying close, following you from room to room, and choosing you as “his person.” Now, due to unavoidable life changes, Lazarus needs to start over once again. This isn’t because he isn’t wanted. It’s because he deserves peace. He deserves a home where no one scares him. Where he can stretch out without worry. Where he can sleep without watching over his shoulder. Where he can feel safe—every single day. Lazarus needs someone who will give him patience, attention, and reassurance.
