(Foster or Adopter Needed) Dulce is a beautiful, sensitive girl who needs a very special kind of home. She is not a beginner cat and will do best with an experienced, cat-savvy adopter or foster who truly understands fearful and defensive cats. In a new environment, Dulce is likely to regress and respond from a place of fear. When she feels overwhelmed or pressured, she may bite or scratch to protect herself. Because of this, her person must be skilled at reading feline body language, respecting boundaries, and allowing her to set the pace—without forcing affection. Dulce is not suited for homes with children or high activity. Chaos, noise, and frequent disruptions are extremely stressful for her. She needs a calm, predictable environment where she can feel safe and secure. One bright spot in Dulce’s life is her love for other cats. She gains confidence from friendly feline companions and would thrive in a home with calm, social cats. She does not enjoy dogs. While she may tolerate a very quiet, senior dog who ignores her, active or intrusive dogs frighten her. Dulce is looking for a quiet, patient home with someone who understands that trust takes time. This is a long-term commitment—not a quick adjustment situation. With consistency, compassion, and respect, Dulce has the potential to build a meaningful bond with the right person.
