This month, we’re thrilled to shine a spotlight on Aide, whose dedication and compassion have made a difference in the lives of so many dogs and people alike here at Beauties and Beasts.
Supporting the Cause in Every Way
In her volunteer role, Aide takes on several responsibilities. She plays a vital part in organizing and helping out at our fundraising and adoption events, providing the public with opportunities to learn about our mission and, most importantly, meet our dogs. Not only that, but Aide has also opened her home to a few foster dogs, giving these pets a warm and caring space until they find their forever homes.
Why Volunteering Matters to Her
For Aide, volunteering is more than just a role; it’s a way to make a meaningful difference. “Volunteering makes me feel useful. It makes me feel like I’m doing my part,” she explains. “I love meeting new people, socializing, meeting dogs, and just helping the animals find loving homes.” It’s this spirit of connection and purpose that drives Aide to keep giving back, and we’re so grateful for it.
A Favorite Memory: Seeing the Impact Firsthand
One of Aide’s favorite memories highlights the joy that comes from helping dogs find their forever families. “I’ll never forget receiving a text from someone who had adopted my foster dog,” she recalls. “They were so thankful, expressed how happy they were, and included several pictures.” Moments like these—where the positive impact of volunteering shines through—fuel her dedication and bring a sense of fulfillment to the hard work.
What the Public Should Know About Volunteering
When asked what she’d like the public to know, Aide emphasized how flexible and enjoyable volunteering can be. “Volunteering for Beauties and Beasts is very flexible, and there’s a lot of variety in the events we have throughout the year,” she says. “It can be a lot of fun!” Whether you’re available occasionally or can commit more time, there’s a place for everyone to make a difference here.
Life Outside of Volunteering
When she’s not helping out with Beauties and Beasts, Aide stays busy in other rewarding ways. She loves spending time with her two adopted dogs, also from Beauties, and she volunteers for Harry Hynes Hospice. You might also find her cheering on her favorite football team, watching a good scary movie, or exploring new spots to eat, as she’s a true foodie at heart.
Thank you, Aide, for everything you do to support Beauties and Beasts! Your kindness, commitment, and passion inspire us all.
