What areas do you volunteer in?

I am a little bit of everything and everywhere lol...My role in Beauties recently changed to the Community/lost and found person...I help reunite pets back to their owners, I help guide people on what to do with the strays they find and hurt ones as well on many of the lost and found and Community pages on Facebook, I also help alert Beast Crew to anyone that may need immediate help or when BC needs help finding owners too, I volunteer at the donation center on the third Sunday of every month, I help answer questions on Messenger, the Cat adoption page and I help add Cat profiles to the website. I have 3 cat fosters, Leopold (hospice foster), River (special needs foster) and Ava (special needs foster).

What do you enjoy about volunteering?

I enjoy helping the cats and dogs get safe, back home or to a better place. I get to help their owners keep them by showing them where to get help, and I enjoy being able to take that injured or sick cat and help them heal and get better. There's nothing better than that.

What is your favorite volunteer memory or experience?

Getting to see the happy tears of an owner finding their fur baby, getting to see the pet that was living in a horrible situation get to a better place, being able to help that cat that I was sure was gonna die on the way to the vet make a full recovery and get to go to a wonderful loving home. There's been a lot of them over the years I've been with Beauties so I can't name just one.

What's something you want the public to know about volunteering for Beauties and Beasts?

Volunteering with Beauties is hard work, at times it will break your heart too but it is also one of the best things to be able to do to know that you made someone's (human and pet) world a little better by being there for them.

What do you do when you aren’t volunteering for Beauties and Beasts?

I am almost always doing something for the pet community lol, but aside from that I run my own business so I work Mon thru Sat very long days, I get to work with special needs kids, I take care of my family (that's a feat in and of it's self) and I try to find time to work out and go to the gym, that's one of my happy places!
