Becca has been a Beauties & Beasts volunteer since 2022! Becca is a Foster Liason and Applications Processor! We can't say enough great things about Becca. She is always willing to go the extra mile for the animals and loves every animal in our care like they were her own. Becca also helps with events when she can. It's safe to say we keep her pretty busy, and this rescue wouldnt be the same without her!

What areas do you Volunteer in within the rescue?

Oh man, my plate is full of things I love doing! I started as a dog foster and help with events, then I became a foster liaison. Over the summer I started working with apps/home check teams to place dogs for an intro with adopters and new fosters! Then in the fall I took over the schedule for HQ and our trainers! So I have my hands in lots of pots!

What do you enjoy about volunteering?

The need to help, they always need extra hands to make events run, watching people open their homes for animals in need! Meeting all the people who love dogs like I do! Learning about different breeds and homes and needs for special dogs! Plus helping our dogs find their forever home is the cherry on top!

What is your favorite volunteer memory or experience?

Honestly too many to count, but fostering dogs who have been given up on. Watching them come out of their shell and teaching them how to be a dog! My heart swells watching them snuggle my kiddos and play with my dogs. I like knowing they trust us and feel safe here.

What's something you want the public to know about volunteering for Beauties and Beasts?

You can do as much or as little as you want to! There’s zero commitment. You can try different areas to see what fits your life! I would love to get to know some of the boarding dogs and spend more time with the walkers but I’m also in my little toddler mom era so getting away from them is challenging! Helping behind the scenes fits my life right now! But when I’m ready to be more up front, the opportunity is there!

What do you do when you aren’t volunteering for Beauties and Beasts?

I am married with two kids and work at the hospital full time, so just enjoying this season I’m in with my family! I love reading, running and seeing my friends.
