What areas do you volunteer in?
Event Planning and taking pictures of our dogs.
What do you enjoy about volunteering?
Spending time with our pups, volunteers and engaging with the community.
What is your favorite volunteer memory or experience?
I don’t know that I have one particular memory or experience, but a collection of them. Each dog that I have interacted with, or made a connection with is memorable. I love the moment of recognition I see in their eyes or the happy tail that starts wagging as they remember me and that we are friends. That’s what rescue is.
What's something you want the public to know about volunteering for Beauties and Beasts?
The first thing is: you can make a difference. You can be a voice for an animal, a living thing. It’s a hard time in rescue, finances are hard, numbers are high and resources are limited, but with the help of the community, you can make a difference. And second: you can make lasting friendships.
