Tuna was surrendered to the humane society due to the family's move / being unable to find a home for her too and financial hardship due to chronic allergies.

Previous owners had her for 4 years since rescuing her from a bad home at only 3 weeks old.  She is affectionate, playful, lapdog that is very active.  She lived with 3 large dogs that she was friendly with.  She also lived with children under 5 years of age.  She did not pass cat test and will chase that and other small prey such as rabbits and squirrels outside.  They also didn't have issues with resource guarding.

Tuna is a happy girl with a great smile. She would make a great adventure buddy. She loves car rides, adventures to the park and trips to the hardware or pet store. She is very happy riding in the car and likes the window down. She loves cheeseburgers and an occasional ice cream cone from McDonald’s. She would be fun on a road trip.

She walks pretty well on a leash…she gets excited and pulls sometimes but corrects pretty easily. At the park, she hasn’t paid any mind to the geese walking around. However- she will let you know if one of those pesky squirrels is close. She likes to watch the animals in the wildlife enclosure and was most interested in the little turtle. She does well meeting new people including children.

Tuna is very treat motivated. She can “sit” and “lay down” very well and we are working on “wait”.   She is dog friendly but no cats.  She knows her name and will also respond to Tuna Luna, Tuna Noodle Casserole and Tuna Fish.

Due to allergies, Tuna is on a no chicken diet.

Tuna is looking for a foster or adopter.  We would love to get her into foster to verify everything the previous owners told us about her and learn more about this beautiful blue and white furbaby.

Adoption Fee: $200 - Includes Spay/Neuter, Microchip, and UTD on all vaccines.
