Meet Nikki: Your Smart and Adorable Companion!

Nikki is an amazing dog who’s smart, loving, and absolutely adorable! Currently in training to help with her reactivity towards strangers and visitors, she’s already making great progress.

Did we mention how incredibly smart she is? Nikki knows all the commands: Sit, Stay, Come, Shake, Down/Lay Down, and even Roll Over! She’ll do just about anything for a treat. Nikki is kennel trained and walks wonderfully on a leash, although she prefers to avoid big crowds.

While we’re not sure how she feels about little kids, she does well with older children who respect her space. She absolutely adores high-pitched baby talk! When meeting her for the first time, act like you’re old friends and offer her a treat or two—she’ll love you for it!

Nikki's favorite game is Fetch! She’s mastered “Bring It” and “Drop It,” although she sometimes has a hard time letting go of her beloved ball. And she’s a superstar in the car, riding perfectly in the back seat while enjoying her “Bye Bye” adventures!

While she isn’t the type to shower you with slobbery kisses, Nikki does love to cuddle up on the couch. However, she’s not a fan of thunderstorms and will try to hide in a closet or under a bed during storms. Like most dogs, she keeps her distance from vacuum cleaners when they’re in use.

Nikki would thrive best in a low-traffic home as the only dog, where she can feel safe and secure. While she doesn’t need to be crated, she will appreciate a safe space when unfamiliar visitors arrive.
