Dave is a big goober! This boy loves people and is so affectionate. He gives hugs so prepare to be wrapped up and loved on when you meet him. He is dog friendly but he approaches new dogs with some dominance at first. A couple corrections and he is good to go. He has gone to a temporary foster home for 3-4 days at a time and that foster had 3 other dogs in the home. He has been there twice. Once the introductions were done, he was fine and was a great friend for the playful dog but also relaxes like the older ones. He is a beautiful dog that needs some training in manners. He is potty trained. He takes time to acclimate to a crate at first and will circle for a bit before laying down but in the times that he has been with foster, he has learned very quickly how to get comfortable. He doesn't try to get out or damage the crate.
Dave can be a little uncomfortable meeting men at first and some strangers, but if greeted on his level and with a treat he will warm up quickly.
Dave requires a 6' privacy fence due to barrier behaviors with other dogs and he is able to jump 4' fencing and will.
Dave is waiting for a foster or forever home.
