Cordelia is the calmest and sweetest dog. She is loyal, very loving, suspicious of strangers at the house, and lazy. She will happily sit next to you, give you full face kisses, and enjoy all the petting’s in the world. She gets along great with cats and doesn’t react to getting whacked in the face by one! However, she does NOT get along with other dogs and should never be allowed to socialize with a dog under ANY circumstances.
Cordelia has great house manners. She is quiet, fully potty trained, does not destroy anything (other than dog toys), won’t jump a 4 foot fence, and knows how to use a dog door. She is a very rough player. She LOVES toys and playing fetch but you will not be able to get a toy back from her until it’s destroyed. She will need someone who can be a confident pack leader and have clear rules set in place.
She is very lazy so we do our daily walks of about a mile (sometimes go to the park) and the rest of the time she is on guard duty and sleeping.. she does great at the park and on walks. She shows interest in other dogs but she’s not actively trying to engage with them or bark. She is very cautious of every person that walks by us and makes prolonged eye contact that makes people very uncomfortable lol. She is the kind of dog that gets LOTS of attention. People ask question about her breed, her ears, and everyone who drives by stares at us. If we are out of the house she is much more welcoming of strangers and will approach them if allowed to get loved on. The key is to let her approach though. If someone gives her a bad vibe she will be hesitant. She really likes to play fetch and tug of war but she struggles with drop it so it’s a work in progress.
