Carla was at the city shelter following an incident when she reportedly "attacked" another dog thru the fence. No other details were disclosed to us (ie injuries, fence type, size of dog, etc) but Carla was deemed a potentially dangerous dog (PDD) as a result and was euth listed labeled rescue pull only. A foster stepped up hours before she was to be put down to take her in temporarily. Carla is looking for a more permant foster or adopter outside of city limits.
She exhibited some reactivity while she was in the kennel (to people and dogs) at the shelter, but once out of the kennel, you could see she is just a sweetie and didn't show any reactivity to the other dogs. She could just have barrier issues, may need slow intros or may need to be an only dog but she definitely deserves a chance!
Her temporary foster says Carla walks pretty well on a leash. She is a very happy dog that loves pets, holding hands, and love. She does need to learn some manners and we will be sure to give her the structure to get there.
Carla will require a 6' privacy fence and a home outside Wichita city limits.
