Birdie - MEDICAL HOLD
MEDICAL HOLD - At Birdie's vetting apointment it was found that she has some medical issues that need addressed and will not be available until this is resolved.
Birdie is a lover. She loves to be right up next you; cuddles, sweet kisses, and never too much distance between her and her favorite people. She is gentle and great with all people and kids of all ages. After a few days, Birdie grew to love our dogs. She used her growl to set boundaries with them, and was easily corrected and calmed when she felt uneasy with the dogs. Most typically she was jaguar being protective of the attention she was getting from her humans. She did NOT want them to steal her pets and loves. Our dogs are both males. We have not exposed her to cats.
Birdie does kennel easily when we leave the house, but does not prefer the kennel when humans are home or sleeping (apparently by her sweet cries and occasional bark). She LOVES sleeping in the bed with us, but we have gotten her to sleep in her own bed in our room instead as she tends to be a bit of a blanket hog. It has come to our attention that food and water have not always been in abundance in Birdies life. While she kind of picks at her own food, if she can get someone else’s food she will! Including from the counter if she can reach or a piece of pizza from your hand if you turn your eye, so you have to be watchful! She will also drink her weight in water if it’s available so we tend to let her outside often.
Birdie walks well on a leash, knows how to sit and we have been working on shake. She’s definitely knows her name and the word “no”. Birdie likes to be home. She has never tried to jump our shorter fence, or rush the front door, but we do keep her leashed at all times when not in the house or yard as she is very curious and does tend to cower/run when she thinks she’s in trouble.
Overall Birdie is a great girl! She’s beautiful, loyal and sweet.
